Gary started his career with Fujifilm Speciality Ink System in 1987. After spending 16 years working throughout operations, from packing, manufacturing, goods inwards and waste management, Gary was promoted to Shift Supervisor in 2003, primarily responsible for raw material warehousing and waste management. In 2005 after changes to the landfill directive, Gary took on the role of Waste and Recycling supervisor to oversee the legislation changes, primarily to ensure full compliance and control waste costs. In 2010 Gary was promoted to the position of Continuous Improvement Manager, to head up Fujifilm Speciality Ink Systems, continuous improvement programme. Using 'Lean' tools and techniques Gary and his team continue to challenge the way Fujifilm Speciality Ink Systems operates throughout the business, to implement improvements, improve efficiencies and control costs. This presents challenges that can only be addressed by good teamwork, innovation, and employee engagement.
